Autumn is well and truly here and as we move towards winter; vibrant summery smoothies definitely aren’t our number one go to.

Make way for this Spiced Vanilla Chai Smoothie Bowl.

It is said that Chai originated almost 9000 years ago from Siam or India by the reigning King. He created the chai combination with a mix of Ayurvedic healing spices to support digestion and overall health. More recently, chai has had the inclusion of black tea, as well as the addition of milk into the brewing method - turning it into our much-loved Chai Latte. The spices that make up our favourite chai recipe are cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, black pepper, nutmeg and ginger – all of which have a warming effect within the body, making them the perfect addition to these chilly mornings when you still want that beloved smoothie bowl. It’s time to cosy up on the couch with a bowl of our spiced vanilla chai and a good book I say.


Spiced Vanilla Chai Smoothie Bowl

Blissful Ginger Balls


  • 2 bananas, frozen

  • 1 medjool dates

  • 1 tsp Ginger and Co’s Spiced Vanilla Chai powder

  • ½ cup of milk (we used almond)

  • 1 cup of ice

Topping inspiration

  • Granola

  • Shredded coconut

  • Nuts and seeds

  • Maple syrup/Honey

  • Poached fruits


Place all ingredients into the blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a bowl and top with your choice of delicious toppings.
