Delicious latte recipe with a double antioxidant hit of Matcha and Cacao, filling those post Easter chocolate cravings with a cup full of magical goodness!
Now we know that matcha is good for just about everything but let’s break it down a bit.
What am I actually getting out of sipping this wonderful cup of greens?
An increase in energy without the jitters – Matcha has caffeine in it, however, it also contains and an amino acid called theanine, which promotes relaxation. So you get the energy boost mixed with mindful awareness without the jittery buzz that feels like you’re going to jump out of your skin.

A glow to your skin - Matcha slows cell degeneration and can promote smoother, tighter skin as well as helping to slow down the effects of aging. Goodbye wrinkles!
Reduces cancer risks – Some of the goodies that make matcha, well matcha, have been found to inhibit tumour growth and be beneficial in the prevention of cancer.
Benefits your mental health - Matcha is also commonly referred to as mood and brain food – and rightfully so! It reduces anxiety and also provides benefits in the memory and attention sector as well.
A high amount of matcha’s benefits are due to these little things called catechins, which can
also be found in berries, chocolate (the darker the better) and red wine (bring on the vino!).
These catechins are these decadent foods' very own version of antioxidants and have so
many great benefits and the inclusion of these in your everyday routine (without going
overboard) can definitely promote a healthy and happy lifestyle. Why thank you, I will start

Choc Mint Matcha Latte
This latte recipe gives you a double hit with matcha and cacao, filling those post Easter
chocolate cravings with a cup full of magical goodness!
1 cup of plant-based milk (almond, oat, soy, coconut)
1 tsp Ginger & Co’s Matcha Powder
1 tsp cacao powder
1 tsp coconut sugar
½ tsp vanilla essence
¼ tsp peppermint oil (food grade)
Cacao nibs to sprinkle on top
Place all ingredients apart from the cacao nibs into your blender and blend until combined.
Pour into a saucepan and heat until warm and frothy. Pour into a cute little mug and top
with cacao nibs.
