With these major heat waves going through lately, I thought it would be nice to make something fun and fresh to help everyone cool down during these hot days. Popsicles to the rescue – a refreshing and healthy take on an old classic. Made with Ginger & Co's Rosy Hibiscus Tea (rose, hibiscus, strawberry & rosehip) and a dash of maple syrup, these icy poles will be your new favourite. Hibiscus doesn’t just make them look pretty, it’s also filled with antioxidants, helps lower blood pressure, promotes liver health and is said to help fight bad bacteria in the body as well. Both hibiscus, rose and strawberries are filled with vitamin C to help your skin and immune system and mixing them together is a match made in heaven!
Rosy Hibiscus & Strawberry Popsicles
(Makes 4 popsicles)
6 tsp of Ginger & Co’s Rosy Hibiscus Tea
2 Tbsp Maple syrup
2 cups of boiling water
You will also need popsicle moulds and wooden popsicle sticks.
In a heatproof pitcher, place 4 tsp of Ginger & Co’s Rosy Hibiscus Tea and top with boiling
water. Let steep for 5 minutes. Strain into a jug and stir in maple syrup.
Pour tea mixture into popsicle moulds leaving about half an inch from the top. Place alfoil
over the top and insert popsicle sticks into the centre of each mould. Freeze for around 5
hours or until frozen.
Remove from the freezer, take off the alfoil and sprinkle Ginger & Co’s Rosy Hibiscus Tea in
the top part of the moulds. Fill the moulds with cold water and place back into the freezer
